Rob Austin has more than just a podium to celebrate from Croft after winning the HiQ champagne moment award for the third time.
The Audi A4 racer's return to form at Croft after a multitude of mechanical problems saw him secured a massive 71 per cent of the votes in the latest poll – of which there were more than 500, the highest of the season.
It underlines the Evesham racers status as a fans' favourite, and earns him his third bottle of champers from the brand after scooping the award in 2011 after races at Rockinham and Silverstone.
Fan John Miles, picked at random, presented the champagne to Austin, winning a bottle for himself and a grid walk, and called his battles with the Hondas at the front “the highlight of my weekend”.
HiQ's marketing manager Geraldine McGovern said: “Rob has always shown charm, charisma off the track and an abundance of talent on it.
“He's certainly Mr Popular amongst BTCC supporters and we are delighted that he's won our latest champagne moment, which is thoroughly well deserved.”
