Frustrated Welch A Doubt For Rockingham

1 Mins read

Embattled Dan Welch has revealed he is a doubt for next weekend’s Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race at Rockingham.

After informing theCheckeredFlag.co.uk at Snetterton how close his Welch Motorsport team came to pulling out the championship, the Proton was on the grid for the races in Norfolk and then again at Knockhill.

However, more bad luck both sides of the border means the team’s immediate place on the grid is in doubt – but he is unlikely to give up trying.

“Not sure I’m going to Rockingham next weekend!” the frustrated Welch tweeted, before telling theCheckeredFlag.co.uk: “The unreliability of parts and damage inflicted by the less talented drivers just adds up.

“Possibly we should have missed Knockhill but then would have had the same electrical gremlins. If we are patient it will all come right in the end.”
