Saxmax Rookie Of The Year Joins Team-HARD. Stable

1 Mins read

2012 Saxmax Rookie of the Year Sam Morgan has signed for Team-HARD. to race in the VW Cup next season.

Aged just 15, Morgan finished an impressive third overall in his first year in car racing, and becomes the youngest driver in the touring car team’s ever-increasing stable of drivers.

Team boss Tony Gilham met with Morgan and his father to agree deal, and said the youngster – who will not turn 16 until next season – had been on their radar for some time, and impressed with his off-track drive as much as his talent on it.

“We’re quite excited actually,” he said. “We’ve seen his videos and we met him for the first time in person today – and signed him on the spot.

“He’s got a lot going for him, and we’re all about bringing young drivers through.”

Morgan has joined the team for two season and the team hope they can be the ones to steer him in the same directionas Jack GoffAaron Williamson and Howard Fuller, who had their first touring car runs with the Dartford outfit.
