DTM Stars Past And Present Confirmed For Autosport

In true tradition, The Autosport International Show held every January at the NEC in Birmingham, is the place where the motorsport world starts kicking things into high gear once again, before racing soon resumes around the world.

Several illustrious drivers, who are all incredibly competitive sportsmen who in their careers have secured title glory along the way, will represent the DTM in some capacity this year. The first British driver to secure the DTM title in 2005, Mercedes-Benz regular and Vodafone McLaren Mercedes test driver, Gary Paffett will be attending on the final day of the Autosport International Show, who will be alongside other star drivers that will be on hand to discuss their careers, as well as signing autographs for racing fans.

Current Sahara Force India Formula One driver and 2010 DTM Champion with Mercedes as well, Scotland’s Paul Di Resta, will also be appearing on both public days on the 12th and 13th of January, and will also be taking part in the Q&A sessions that are a normal occurrence during the hallowed event.

The most recent addition to the current and future alumni of the series, BMW Motorsport’s Andy Priaulx, who secured the first batch of points for the Munich manufacturer at the opening race in Hockenheim earlier this season, will also be there for the two public days. The three-time WTCC Champion, a loyal and long-standing member of the BMW family, will share his racing experiences with the crowds in attendance.

Allan McNish, the two-time Le Mans winning driver for Audi Sport, who also raced in the DTM for Team Abt Sportsline in 2005, will also be on hand to provide an interesting look into his career in top-flight racing in sportscars, Formula One, and much more besides. The Dumfries native will undoubtedly ensure that the audience will be entertained with some witty banter along the way.

A who’s who of British drivers that have competed in the most internationally recognized Touring Car series in the world, will be able to share what they have experienced, throughout their illustrious careers to the avid racing fan, who makes the trip to a wonderful event, that starts off 2013 in the right way.
