Neel Jani To Remain With Rebellion Racing For 2013 Season

Swiss racer Neel Jani will continue with Rebellion Racing in 2013 it has been confirmed.

The team looks likely to combine commitments in the American Le Mans Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship, where they won the LMP1 teams’ title in 2012. Though full details of the 2013 plans have yet to be released the team have confirmed that Jani’s 2013 duties will begin with the 12 Hours of Sebring .

Jani was also part of the Rebellion team that won overall at Petit Le Mans, then a one-off for the team in the ALMS, with Nicolas Prost and Andrea Belicchi, the later also confirmed for a Rebellion return in 2013.

“It is very positive for the team that Neel is part of our driver line-up again this year,” said team manager Bart Hayden. “Neel has always demonstrated remarkable pace and last year he was more successful than ever with the team.”

“I am looking forward to another season with Rebellion Racing,” said Jani, “which will be my fifth season with the team!  We had a great year in 2012 and we will try to do the same if not better again in 2013.
