Privateer James Ledamun has confirmed his return to the MSV F3 Cup  for the coming season.

The 38-year-old has been involved in F3 Cup since 2011 and will return in 2013, following a positive season last year in which he secured an impressive third place finish in the final race of the year at Snetterton in the Trophy 01 class.

Ledamun is hoping to emerge as a real contender in the Trophy 01 Class for cars constructed between 1997 and 2001 this season, and will enter a private 2001 Dallara F3 chassis for at least six of the eight meetings in 2013.

Ledamun is now planning to make a much greater impact with the experience under his belt, saying: “F3 Cup is a great championship to be a part of and I’m really looking forward to the new season.

“Last year the Trophy 01 Class was extremely competitive and now I have got on top of the new car I hope to be challenging the midfield and building on the progress I made towards the end of last season.”
