Frankie Montecalvo will look to pull out another top five finish in the Grand-Am Continental Tire Sports Car Challenge as the competition makes its debut at the Circuit of the Americas (COTA).

Montecalvo will team up with Nick Mancuso again in the #16 Multimatic Motorsports Aston Martin Vantage, after the pair took the car to fourth place at the opening round of the season at Daytona.

“We had a large break between our last race in Daytona and this weekend,” said Montecalvo “so I’m more than ready to get back into the Aston Martin this weekend at Circuit of the Americas. I’m very excited to race in Austin next since it is a new track. It looks like an amazing facility.”

“This is going to be a challenging weekend because this is a new race for everybody in GRAND-AM and it levels the playing field a bit,” he continued. “My goal for the weekend is to have productive practice sessions and a solid qualifying run.  The race length is the same as Daytona, so anything can happen.  We will race our race and do our best to run with leaders.  Hopefully, we’ll see ourselves in the top five and continue what we started in Daytona.”
