Schiller to move into Euro F3 with West-Tec

1 Mins read

Fabian Schiller will race in the FIA European Formula 3 Championship in 2015 after becoming Team West-Tec F3’s first driver for the new season.

The seventeen-year-old German moves into the series having competed for the past two seasons in the ADAC Formel Masters championship, where he was a race winner in both 2013 and 2014.

His graduation into Formula 3 sees him competing full-time in International competition for the first time; he made a one-off appearance for West-Tec in the season finale of the EuroFormula Open championship in 2014 as a guest driver, finishing a best of tenth in race one.

“I am very happy to have confirmed my seat for 2015,” insisted Schiller. “Joining Team West-Tec F3 was always my top choice and we have all worked hard to make it happen.”

Team Principal John Miller was pleased to have been able to give Schiller the first seat in the team, and hoped to be able to announce who will be the German driver’s team-mate shortly.

“We have known Fabi for several years and were pleased to give him his first F3 tests in 2014,” said Miller. “He has always been fast and controlled, and I am expecting him to be able to challenge well this season.

“We still have one seat left in our FIA Formula 3 team, and I expect to have news on that soon.”
