Technicality relegates Rosenqvist to back of the grid

1 Mins read

Felix Rosenqvist has lost two of his three pole positions at Silverstone after the dimensions of his Prema Powerteam car’s bodywork was deemed to be illegal.

The Swede has therefore lost his top spot from both races two and three, and will start both races from the back of the grid. He keeps his race one pole position however, and Prema have decided not to appeal the decision.

Rosenqvist’s demotion has seen Van Amersfoort Racing’s Monegasque driver Charles Leclerc now inherit pole position for races two and three, where he will be joined on the front row by George Russell for race two and Antonio Giovinazzi for race three.

The first race of the FIA European Formula 3 Championship season gets underway on Saturday at 10:20am BST.
