1 Mins read

The first ever race of the brand-new Audi Sport TT Cup took place this morning supporting the DTM at Hockenheim. This series will have 12 races in total, and features a line-up of 18 young drivers and 6 ‘guests’ all in identical, centrally-prepared Audi TTs.

Race 1 was won by Austrian Marc Coleselli, ahead of Nicolaj Møller Madsen and Dennis Marschall“This was a tremendous inaugural event for the Audi Sport TT Cup,” said Project Leader Rolf Michl“The crowd saw gripping motorsport and we’re delighted about a second race being scheduled for tomorrow.”

Of the 6 guest entries, two are rallycross drivers Tanner Foust and Toomas Heikkinen, who have an understandably tense rivalry in these races this weekend. Round one of this battle went to Foust who finished 5th overall, and was also the highest-finishing guest driver.

Round 2 of the TT Cup is set to start on Sunday morning at 09:40 CEST.
