Matt Neal Keeps Donington Win As Triple Eight Appeal Rejected

1 Mins read

Matt Neal has been officially declared as the winner of round six of the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship from Donington Park, as Triple Eight have had their appeal rejected.

The Honda Yuasa Racing man took over the championship lead with victory in a frenetic third race at the Leicester circuit, during which Neal made contact with the MG6 GT of Andrew Jordan at McLeans.

Triple Eight initially failed with a protest against the incident, leading to an appeal which took place on Saturday morning that has now gone in favour of Neal.

This means that Neal maintains his championship lead heading into the weekend at Thruxton and will carry the maximum 75kg success ballast throughout practice, qualifying and race one.
