Lance Stroll has been banned from competing in the final race of the European Formula 3 Championship round at Spa-Francorchamps on Sunday.
The Ferrari Driver Academy driver was deemed responsible for causing the crash that eliminated Mücke Motorsport driver Mikkel Jensen and Stroll’s Prema Powerteam team-mate Felix Rosenqvist during Saturday’s second race.
The sixteen-year-old had already had a troubled weekend, having taken two separate penalties during race one for causing collisions, and arrived in Belgium having been responsible for a clash that saw the young Canadian crash violently in Monza after tangling with Antonio Giovinazzi.
Another of Stroll’s Prema Powerteam team-mates Brandon Maisano has been handed a three-place grid penalty for race three for his part in the clash with Gustavo Menezes during race two that saw the Jagonya Ayam with Carlin driver flip upside-down on the way down the Kemmel Straight.
Kang Ling of Mücke Motorsport will start the race from the pit lane after being penalised for his part in a crash with Julio Moreno and Tatiana Calderon in race two.
