Fastest lap in the opening race of the weekend at Croft has earned Sam Tordoff pole position for Round 14 of the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship.
Tordoff led the the first portion of the opening race before a mistake coming out of the chicane allowed Andy Priaulx to sneak through, with his WSR team-mate going on to take the race win.
Tordoff’s best effort of 1m 24.590s has secured him pole for race two though, with Priaulx second in a repeat of the front row from qualifying. Jason Plato’s tactic of sacrificing his race one result for a strong grid position has worked too, with the Team BMR man set to line up third.
New championship leader Gordon Shedden, reigning champion Colin Turkington and BMW’s Rob Collard will complete the top six, with Rob Austin, Tom Ingram, Hunter Abbott and Aron Smith completing the top 10.
