Team BMR’s trio of Volkswagen CC machines have undergone a makeover ahead of the sixth meeting of the 2015 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season at Snetterton this weekend.
The quartet of Volkwagen CCs, previously having run in a simple all-black design, will now carry the white, blue and orange of title sponsors RCIB Insurance for the remainder of the 2015 season.
Team boss and driver, Warren Scott, said: “We are absolutely delighted that RCIB are extending their support for the Team, at a time when the British Touring Car Championship goes from strength to strength.”
The team have already claimed five victories this season, four in the hands of former double BTCC champion Jason Plato who sits second in the standings, the other with reigning champion Colin Turkington, who clinched success in the second meeting of the season at Donington. Aron Smith has enjoyed podium finishes also alongside a Thruxton pole position, heading this weekend to a Snetterton circuit at which he won for BMR 12 months ago.
BMR enter the visit to Norfolk’s 300 circuit leading the Teams’ Championship by 19 points over nearest challengers, Honda Yuasa Racing, team boss Scott focused on maintaining his outfit’s cushion.
Scott told TCF: “It’s been through the hard work of the lads throughout the season that we’ve got here, and obviously some fantastic drivers that we’ve got with us. I want one of my boys to win the championship. I’d love it – and we can.”
