The Pirelli World Challenge Championships will race at Connecticut’s Lime Rock Park on Memorial Day weekends starting in 2016.
The series will host a headline weekend at the circuit, following a two year hiatus. Although the full calendar has not been released yet, events at Road America and now Lime Rock Park are confirmed.
“We are excited to bring Pirelli World Challenge racing back to the Northeast and Lime Rock Park,” said Scott Bove, President and CEO, WC Vision. “The Lime Rock Park area fanbase is fantastic and they have been posting on our social media channels as well as emailing us to bring the series back to the famed bullring.
“Skip Barber (President of Lime Rock Park) and I have been talking for a while now and we are happy to have signed a multi-year agreement to race there starting with the 2016 season.”
The Touring Car classes of the series are racing this weekend at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course.
