Andy Priaulx has been moved to fourth spot in the final Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship race of the day at Knockhill, deemed to have overtaken Aiden Moffat unfairly.
The Croft race winner had edged his way ahead of the Mercedes of Moffat at Scotsman in the closing laps of the final race in Fife, the incident taken to TOCA officials afterwards.
The move was reviewed afterwards, the positions later switched to promote Moffat to a maiden podium finish after a 3.5s penalty was enforced on Priaulx.
Talking to TCF afterwards, Priaulx confirmed: “I’ll have to take this one on the chin. The problem is that I couldn’t see anything.”
When asked on the move before the decision was made to reverse the positions, Moffat told TCF: “It was a shame not the get our first podium but it’s still a great result so I’m over the moon.”
