Racers Edge Motorsports Joins GTS in 2016

1 Mins read

Racers Edge Motorsports has announced that it will run the SIN R1 GT4 in the Pirelli World Challenge GTS class during 2016, with drivers to be announced.

The team already has two cars ordered and will become the sole North American distributor of SIN CARS. Despite the R1 having not yet been homologated to GT4 spec, it will likely be ready to race for next season.

“We’ve provided support for other teams in Pirelli World Challenge and were looking for the right situation to enter with our own program,” commented team principal Jon Mirachi.

“When we saw the SIN car and looked into it, we were hooked!

“The car’s concept seemed about perfect to me; both from the driver’s perspective and from the team’s, so it was a very easy decision for us – this was our ticket to the Pirelli World Challenge Series.”

Currently, the team runs two Ford Mustang Boss 302s in the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge GS category.
