Felix da Costa returns to Formula E for season two

1 Mins read

Antonio Felix da Costa has been confirmed as the first driver for Team Aguri for season two of the FIA Formula E championship that begins later this month in Beijing.

The Portuguese driver raced with the team, then named Amlin Aguri, during season one, and took victory at the Buenos Aires ePrix, with Felix da Costa delighted to be back in the championship.

“I am really happy to be returning to Team Aguri and to Formula E for season two,” said Felix da Costa. “This championship is earning its respect in the world of motorsport and I honoured to be involved. Regarding the season, I am really looking forward to getting started.

“The team are making big steps forwards and I believe that we have the tools to fight hard and bring home some solid results. I cannot wait for Beijing. I really want to thank the team for having me back.

“It is an indication that I did good things for them last year and so now I want to give them something back also.”

The confirmation of Felix da Costa means the second Team Aguri seat is the only seat still open for 2016, with the team having run a number of drivers during the testing days, with French drivers Nathanael Berthon and Tom Dillmann thought to be in the running.
