Charlie Eastwood has been named as the 2016/2017 Porsche Carrera Cup GB Scholar, following in the footsteps of 2014 champion Josh Webster.
Formula Renault NEC racer Eastwood faced strong competition from Sam Brabham, Hannah Pym and Ashley Crossey but emerged victorious after an assessment day at Silverstone on the 28th of October.
The assessment day included driving, fitness and media based tasks and following much deliberation it was Eastwood who has been named as the new Carrera Cup GB Scholar.
As well as £80,000 towards his racing for each of the next two seasons, Eastwood will receive bespoke physical training at the Porsche Human Performance Centre, further tutoring and act as an ambassador for the Carrera Cup GB.
