Rising star of the Pirelli World Challenge, Parker Chase, has become a ‘Ginetta Factory Recognised Driver’ for the rest of the 2016 season and potentially into 2017.
Chase, who is racing a Ginetta G55 GT4 in the GTS class of PWC, is also competing in Red Bull Global Rallycross in what is a busy 2016 for the 15-year-old making waves stateside.
It’s the success he has enjoyed so far in his career that has seen Ginetta recognise him in line with their priorities of recognising young racing talent. With Ginetta also looking to grow their own profile in the USA, this factory support deal is of benefit to both parties.
The support will only increase when Chase turns 16, when he’ll be eligible to race the G55 outside of PWC, with plans to give the Texan opportunities to drive in either the Ginetta GT4 SuperCup which supports the BTCC or in a team running the car in the GT4 class of the British GT Championship.
Chase said: “I am extremely honoured to be named a Factory Driver this early in my career. I am very excited to be teamed with Ginetta. The cars are simply amazing to drive and the factory support is incredible.”
Ewan Baldry, Technical Director at Ginetta, echoed that excitement: “Parker represents the latest young driver to progress his motorsport career with the Ginetta brand. In light of the immense start to not only his season, but his sports car racing career, we are delighted to offer him factory driver status for the remainder of the season”
The next race for Chase is at Barber Motorsport Park this weekend, April 23 & 24.
