Tom Blomqvist has ended another day of DTM testing fastest for BMW with the Briton achieving a time of 1:33.214 having completed a total of 134 laps, but Audi would finish the day close behind.
The four rings would finish second and third, with Mattias Ekström setting a 1:33.300 and Mike Rockenfeller finishing on 1:33.330.
To find the fastest Mercedes-Benz, you would have to look down to mid-table to find Maximilian Götz who set a 1:33.647 to claim honours amongst the Mercedes testers. However, for the Stuttgart manufacturer the objective was to log as many kilometres as possible to improve their car coming into the season – they covered 1,866km during the day.
Tomorrow, Mercedes will have a completely different line-up with Robert Wickens, Paul Di Resta, Christian Vietoris and Gary Paffett taking on DTM testing duties. For BMW Martin Tomczyk will be the only change to the testing squad, Timo Scheider will be the only change in crew for Audi tomorrow.
