FIA Formula E title contenders Lucas di Grassi and Sebastien Buemi have both said that they are focusing on every detail to ensure they come out on top in the title fight.

Going into the double-header in London di Grassi has a lead of just a single point over Buemi, but says that his Abt Schaeffler Audi Sport team have prepared perfectly ahead of the race.

Di Grassi said, We have done everything that we could do: we have prepared perfectly, our engineers and mechanics are highly motivated, we are all committed to the cause,”

“Our goal is clear: we aim to perform at our best and make no mistakes. We have a good team and wonderful partners. We have the chance to achieve something big in London.”

Buemi meanwhile has momentum on his side following his victory last time out in Berlin, which saw him take ten points out of di Grassi’s lead. Since the last grand prix he’s said he’s spent as much time as possible in the Renault e.dams simulator.

We are at the very end of the championship and we know what we need to do, and how to do it well.” he commented. “We will focus on every small detail, including the preparation, looking after the car and I’m trying to get as much time as possible in the simulator.”

“London will be very special. Both championships are still open and from a driver’s perspective that is very motivating. In the drivers’ race it’s enough to finish ahead but there are lots of variables that can affect the outcome, including the weather and the qualifying group we are in.

“We need to see if Lucas and I are together – if we line up next to each other we will need to fight, but if there is a gap you can have some margin. You have to race with the championship in mind.”

Having lost out on last year’s title to Nelson Piquet Jr by just a single point, Buemi is determined to fight to the end to go one better, “Of course it would be amazing to win. Last year I lost the title by just one point, which was very hard to accept. I want to win and I will fight for points until the last lap of the last race.”
