Colin Turkington Keeps Race One Win After Investigation

1 Mins read

Colin Turkington will keep his Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship victory from race one at Snetterton, having been cleared of a potential jump start infringement.

The Silverline Subaru Team BMR driver was, along with four other fellow competitors, investigated by stewards following the opening race in Norfolk for a possible jump start.

No action will be taken against the Northern Irishman, who will start race two from pole position ahead of Gordon Shedden.

As a result, Turkington keeps his third victory of the season and improves to ninth in the championship standings, 50 points behind West Surrey Racing’s Sam Tordoff.

Similarly, no action was taken against any of the other drivers investigated, those being Motorbase Performance’s Andrew Jordan, Maximum Motorsport’s Stewart Lines, Team Parker Racing‘s Alex Martin and Team BKR’s Mark Howard.
