Lance Stroll dominated the final race of the Imola weekend, leading from lights to flag and ending the race out of sight of his fellow competitors.

The Canadian took his Prema Powerteam machine to an eleventh victory of the season, with Stroll ending 7.559 seconds clear of Hitech GP’s George Russell, who took his second podium finish of the weekend, with the Briton getting the jump on Callum Ilott at the start.

Van Amersfoort Racing’s Ilott clinched his first podium since Zandvoort with third place, but was never able to get close enough to challenge Russell for second, but he did finish well clear of fourth placed Ralf Aron of Prema Powerteam.

Aron withstood early pressure from Joel Eriksson before the Motopark driver settle for fifth, just ahead of Van Amersfoort Racing’s Anthoine Hubert.

Mikkel Jensen took his best result of the weekend with seventh for Mücke Motorsport, while team-mate David Beckmann ended ninth, with Nick Cassidy of Prema Powerteam finishing between the team-mates.

Guanyu Zhou held onto tenth for Motopark, denying team-mate Sergio Sette Câmara by just 0.495 seconds. Sette Câmara will be frustrated to come away from the weekend at Imola without scoring a point after showing pace all weekend long.
