Lando Norris secured an impressive double pole position for the final two races of the FIA European Formula 3 Championship weekend at Pau on Saturday.
The Carlin driver set the best time of the session of 1:09.085s to take top spot for race two, while his second fastest lap of 1:09.308s was enough for him to take pole for the final race of the weekend, the standout Pau Grand Prix.
Once again, qualifying was decided into two groups, and it was Norris who set the pace in the first group before he was forced to wait to see if anyone could overhaul him from the second group.
But no one came, with Maximilian Günther getting closest, with the Prema Powerteam driver starting from second on the grid for both races as a result.
The second row for both races will also be the same, with Callum Ilott, eager to put his retirement from race one behind him, starting third for Prema Powerteam, alongside championship leader and race one winner Joel Eriksson of Motopark.
Ralf Aron will start fifth for race two for Hitech Grand Prix, and he will be joined on the third row by team-mate Nikita Mazepin, while Harrison Newey of Van Amersfoort Racing and Jake Hughes of Hitech Grand Prix will share row four.
Carlin drivers completed the top ten, with Ferdinand Habsburg ahead of Jake Dennis, while there team-mate Jehan Daruvala will start eleventh but later crashed out of qualifying, causing a brief full course yellow.
For race three, Newey will start fifth ahead of team-mate Joey Mawson, who, like Ilott, will be looking to put the disappointment of crashing out of race one whilst in a podium position behind him, while Aron and Mazepin will share row four ahead of Habsburg and Hughes.
