Wix Racing with Eurotech driver Jack Goff broke the Snetterton qualifying lap record as he scored pole position at the circuit for the second year in a row.
Jack led a Honda one-two-three-four as the domination of the Japanese marque continued this weekend following their incredibly strong practice pace.
Early running in the session saw Dan Cammish head the way. However, he had no response to the older shaped Civic as Goff smashed the lap record.
Matt Simpson and Brett Smith continued the fine weekend for Eurotech as they scored third and fourth respectively. Considering their performance last time out at Croft, they’ve reached the dizzy heights of a Subaru-esque turnaround as seen last time out.
Championship contender Tom Ingram will line up fifth, the issues he faced in first practice thankfully remedied. Whilst in sixth will be Josh Cook who quietly placed his Power Maxed TAG Racing Vauxhall Astra on the third row of the grid.
Seventh came the Alfa Romeo of Rob Austin, eighth was the very pink Sam Tordoff, ninth came reigning champion Ashley Sutton and Tom Oliphant had a strong session to line-up in the top ten.
A slippery track surface caught a few drivers out as the Volkswagens of Mike Bushell and Bobby Thompson had a go at mowing the Norfolk grass, Matt Neal had a scary spin through Coram and the BMW of Andrew Jordan and Stephen Jelley both had moments partway through the session as they were trying to set fast laps.
With one qualifying session down, there is one more to go and with no ballast on any of the cars. Every driver will no doubt be putting everything out there so that they can get pole position.
