AmD Tuning have confirmed the acquisition of the former Eurotech Racing Honda Civic Type R’s and will run them with Cobra Sport Exhausts under the Cobra Sport AmD Racing banner.

This addition of the former Eurotech race winning cars sees AmD remain a four car team. The Japanese machines taking the place of the MG6 GT’s that are set to move onto new owners in the future.

Negotiations with drivers and sponsors for the new season are in full swing and these announcements will roll out in due course.

The mock-up livery created by BTCC Blueprints will not be the one used next year and the design used will be unveiled at a later date.

Team Principal Shaun Hollamby is pleased by the fact his team now has one of the best cars in NGTC history,

“Last season, it was a big move for us to expand to a four-car team and after a successful 2018, we are again seeking to move forwards to the next level.

“Whilst we enjoyed some strong results on track with the MGs, the opportunity to purchase the ex-Eurotech Hondas was one that was too good to turn down as you only have to look at the stats to see what a strong package the FK2 Civic Type R is.

“Without doubt, this is the most exciting development for us as a team since we joined the BTCC, and we have to thank Cobra Sport Exhausts for helping to make it possible. Together, I’m extremely confident about a successful 2019.”
