The Mini 7 Racing Club’s Dunlop Mini Se7en and Mini Miglia series will join the BTCC support bill at Thruxton next season.

The high-speed Hampshire circuit has two BTCC meetings in 2019, with the Mini’s joining the fray for the opening encounter in May.

The championship will join the British F4, Ginetta Juniors and Ginetta GT5 Challenge on the support package for the weekend.

The outing will provide an emotional racing return to the TOCA package for ex-BTCC racer Jeff Smith, who made his racing return in Minis last year.

The exciting news comes as the Mini 7 Racing Club joins the celebrations for the 60th anniversary of the iconic Mini, with a bumper grid anticipated.

The complete calendar will see the season start at Croft ahead of the visit to Thruxton, before heading to Silverstone as part of the MG Live event.

Next up will be an overseas outing to Zandvoort and the Mini Festival at Brands Hatch, with the season concluding with visits to Cadwell Park and Castle Combe.
