Alfa Romeo Racing has partnered with Italian custom clothing producers EGV1 to create a new range of team wear for the 2019 Formula 1 season.

Founded in 1999, EGV1 has developed into one of the leading manufacturers in unique business clothing, with its customers stretching from the aviation and racing industries to the corporate world.

EGV will supply the rebranded Alfa Romeo team with a range of team wear that will be worn at each of the 21 race weekends in 2019 and other official outings, such as pre, post and in-season testing.

“It is a pleasure to have EGV1 join our team as the official team wear partner,” team principal Frédéric Vasseur said.

The gear worn by our team and drivers represents our brand and spirit – therefore, it is an essential part of how we approach each championship season in Formula 1. We look forward to a successful collaboration.”

As part of the deal, EGV1 plan to “introduce an e-commerce platform”, allowing fans to purchase replica clothing and other items of team branded merchandise. EGV1 owner Valerio Fumagalli said that he was “enthusiastic” about the new venture.

The company’s logo will also feature on the bottom half of the sidepods on the new-for-2019 car, yet to be named, set to be unveiled on the morning of 18 February, the first day of winter testing at the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya.
