It has been a busy few months for Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship squad BTC Racing following the conclusion of last season as they have detailed the team’s purchase by a businessman and their relocation to new facilities.

Steve Dudman purchased the team back in October 2018 and with a huge passion for motorsport. His spirit is a a perfect fit for the team who aim to build upon an already successful year last season.

Despite having the team bought off him, Bert Taylor will remain Team Director for BTC Racing.

“Bert and I have been friends since 1996 and we have shared the same passion to race cars at the highest level to the best of our ability (and pockets), all of our careers.” Steve said,

“The opportunity to purchase the Team was unexpected but when it came to save it at the end of last season, it is a once in a lifetime opportunity and so in support of Bert and the rest of the Team who are all great people and professionals, I took up my place alongside them to work hard for success in the 2019 BTCC Championship.”

The team have also made the move to Brackley in the heart of Motorsport Valley with a new race shop being prepared ahead of the new season. BTC Racing confirm significant investment is underway to improve the new facilities for the team and an open day is planned not long before the racing starts in 2019.
