Niclas Gronholm‘s livery for the 2020 FIA World Rallycross Championship has been unveiled.

The GRX Taneco driver will be competing in his third season for the team alongside Timur Timerzyanov in an evolution of last year’s Hyundai i20 Supercar.

There is more blue on the car and the white wheel rims give the car a cleaner look.

Gronholm missed the Belgian and British rounds of the championship last year due to appendicitis surgery. Without his absence at these events, he may well have been champion.

Earlier this year the young Finn said, “We had a strong package last year – the combination of the team, car and drivers was a real fit, so I feel confident going into the 2020 season. Obviously, I’m hoping to continue where I left off in Cape Town last year.

I also think we have focused on the right things during the winter break and feel that, as long as we continue our hard work, it will pay off in the best possible way. This will be one hell of a season for GRX Taneco.”

Timerzyanov’s colours will be revealed soon as the team prepares to mount a title challenge when the season gets underway at Holjes on 22-23 August.
