Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland is the latest of the one-make series to unveil their updated calendar ahead of the 2020 season.
With the year disrupted by the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic, Hurui Issak, Project Manager of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland has been working hard with his team to piece together a race programme for the rest of the year.
The season will start off with a race at the legendary Circuit de la Sarthe, playing a supporting role to the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Competitors will line up alongside the Porsche Carrera Cup France grid for a special 45-minute race, which usually brings plenty of action.
For the four other race weekends, the series will run alongside the ADAC GT Masters series, visiting Sachsenring, Red Bull Ring, Circuit Zandvoort, and ending the year at Oschersleben. The Sachsenring and Red Bull Ring weekends will play host to three races each, while the remaining two weekends with feature two each
“We’re delighted to present a revised racing calendar after our digital launch. In this way, we can give our teams and drivers some perspective for this challenging season during the coronavirus crisis. The Le Mans race with the special atmosphere of the endurance classic is an absolute highlight,” says Hurui Issak, Project Manager of the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland.
Following the race weekend at Oschersleben, the series will be offering the Porsche Carrera Cup Deutschland Experience Day, aimed at drivers interested in competing in the series in 2021.
