The British Touring Car Championship (BTCC)’s restart will be signalled with a two-day tyre test at Snetterton next week (7/8 July) before the action begins at Donington Park next month between 1/2 August.
With it being over 100 days since the official Season Launch, drivers will be eager to return to the track ahead of a rescheduled 27-race championship which will conclude in November.
Four-time Champion, Colin Turkington who will be aiming for number five this time around will top the near 30-car lineup in Norfolk, with the likes of Matt Neal, Jason Plato, Dan Cammish and Tom Ingram also involved.
The debut of the new BTCC Hybrid Toyota Corolla will also take place with Le Mans winner and multiple BTCC race winner, Darren Turner piloting the car.
Esmee Hawkey will also make her debut in the BTCC as MB Motorsport‘s Development Driver and will be behind the wheel for one of the two days.
All 15 teams are expected to be present over the two days but fans and independent media will not be allowed on the MSV-owned circuit. Timing will be available though as the preparation continues for the restart.
