MB Motorsport accelerated by Blue Square have officially unveiled their 2021 Ford Focus ST challengers ahead of the new British Touring Car Championship season.
Featuring the MB Motorsport blue, red and yellow with inspiration coming from sporting director Mark Blundell‘s 1992 Le Mans winning car.
The team which is now ran in tandem with Motorbase’s efforts with Shaun Hollamby and Pete Osborne who will also run Andy Neate and Sam Osborne albeit under the former banner will switch to the Focus ST having joined the grid last year with a pair of Honda Civic Type R FK2s.
Jake Hill was part of their efforts last year and will remain with the team with a top eight championship finish gleamed and he will be joined by multiple race winner, Ollie Jackson with the duo having already began pre-season testing ahead of the Official Launch.
“I’m so pleased that we can finally show our car to the world,” Hill said. “It’s been a real privilege to watch the Ford go through each phase of its build and an even bigger privilege to drive it through pre-season testing.
“I’ve got a really good feeling about this season and I’m confident we can build on the success we enjoyed last year. Hopefully we’ll be able to see everyone trackside once again too!”
While for Jackson, it is all about improving on last year’s excellent results in what could be a formidable pairing this time around: “There’s a real buzz in the team about what we can achieve this year.”
“The car looks fantastic so if it drives as good as it looks, then we’re in for a good season. Having driven the car last year, I’m really keen to help push forward its development as much as I can and grab ourselves some strong results along the way. Me and Jake get on really well and we both share the same goal: to take this team to the top step of the podium.”
