A duo of inverted numbers will run Emerling-Gase Motorsports’ maiden NASCAR Xfinity race at Daytona when co-owner Joey Gase and Shane Lee respectively drive the #53 and #35.
Kaz Grala will run a limited 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule for Alpha Prime Racing in 4 races beginning at Auto Club. He will also be the team’s substitute driver if something arises within the roster.
Former NASCAR Truck Series driver Raphaël Lessard will race in the Xfinity Series with a limited schedule for the newly formed SQR Development. He will drive the #87 Toyota.
While older brother Ryan runs the full schedule, Kyle Sieg will contest a part-time NASCAR Xfinity Series slate for family-run RSS Racing in the #28 car. It will be the team’s third car alongside Ryan’s #39 and a #38 with C.J. McLaughlin and Parker Retzlaff.

After two years at JD Motorsports, Jeffrey Earnhardt has joined Sam Hunt Racing for a part-time NASCAR Xfinity Series schedule in 2022.
For the first time since 2019, Ryan Truex will race in the NASCAR Xfinity Series as he joins Sam Hunt Racing for a limited slate including the season opener at Daytona.
SS-Green Light Racing will keep Joe Graf Jr. in the #07 for the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity season, while also partnering with Stewart-Haas Racing. SHR’s Cup drivers Chase Briscoe and Cole Custer will make starts for SSGLR as part of the deal.
NASCAR Xfinity team Alpha Prime Racing has released Andy Lally at his request, while fellow NXS organisation Mike Harmon Racing did the same for Kyle Weatherman.
In addition to the #44, Alpha Prime Racing has opened a second #45 car that will run the full NASCAR Xfinity schedule in 2022. Sage Karam will be one of its drivers.
Ryan Preece joins Stewart-Haas as reserve driver

Ryan Preece will not race full-time in a NASCAR national series in 2022, but he will still sporadically compete in all three divisions for Stewart-Haas Racing. He will also be the team’s simulator and backup driver.
Joey Gase, who was already set to run the 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series as an owner/driver, has joined forces with Patrick Emerling to form Emerling-Gase Motorsports. The team will field the #35 full-time and a part-time second car.
After rounding out 2021 with the team, Bayley Currey has committed to the full 2022 NASCAR Xfinity season for JD Motorsports.
J.C. Stout, an ex-NASCAR Xfinity and Truck Series driver who last raced in 2010, will return to the former division with his SQR Development team. The aspiring New York governor will field a Toyota for 10–12 races for a TBA driver.
In addition to retaining Brett Moffitt, Our Motorsports has added Anthony Alfredo and Jeb Burton to their 2022 NASCAR Xfinity Series roster.
