Chris James Aiming For More Finishes At Donington Park

1 Mins read

After a “positive start” – three finishes in a trouble free Brands Hatch weekend Chris James is aiming for three more finishes and maiden points in the Independents' titles for he and the Team ES Racing squad.

“Again the main goal remains to keep the car straight, finish all 3 races, and not be last,” said James. “Three finishes saw us up to 7th in the Independents championship after Brands, so three more finishes will hopefully push us further up again. This weekend we are hoping to have a dedicated chassis engineer with us, something we have never had to date. If this happens we are positive that this will bring the lap times down.”

Chris and the team already have some data from their truncated pre-season testing program, which included a shakedown at the East Midlands track, the data already accrued helping the team for the weekend.

“After Chris having a successful weekend at Brands Hatch,” said team manager Rhea Beauchamp. “Myself and the team are thrilled with his results and look forward to Rounds 4, 5 & 6 at Donington Park. The team have been working hard with the car this week and anticipate another first class result. I would like to say from myself & the team a thank you to all of those that are supporting Chris with his debut season. We hope to put on a great show for you all.”

You can follow the team's progress through their Facebook page – facebook.com/teamESracing – and twitter – twitter.com/ChrisJamesBTCC.

ITV will cover the weekend live online and on TV – ITV4 showing the races live on Sunday. The Checkered Flag will also have coverage from the track across the weekend.
