Triple Eight Race Engineering with Collins Contractors have released the race livery for James Nash's no.14 Vauxhall Vectra in the build-up for the first round of the British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) this weekend.
The logo of Profile Autones is featured prominently on the car – spread the doors of the black car with the number panel removed for this season. The company – a leading motor accessories retailer also sponsored Nash in the closing rounds of 2010. The logo of the East Anglian Air Ambulance – which James is a supporter and fund raiser for also reappears on the 2011 livery after last season.
New to the car are VGroup International and Sports Traider, the latter a charity retailer of discounted and used sportswear to under-priviledged children, with profits being used to further grass roots level sports.
“It's great to have the backing of Profile Autones and VGroup. Their support means so much to me ahead of what I know will be a competitive touring car season,” says Nash.
“I do though feel more prepared for this season than ever before. I am fitter and I'm looking forward to having a team-mate which always provides extra competition and stimulation whilst providing a benchmark that was lacking last year.”
He and the rest of the Triple Eight team are optimistic ahead of the new season – the addition of Tony Gilham to the team and the initial pace of the turbocharged engine powered car – Nash as was second fastest at last week's media day test – setting up an exciting start to the season.
