Tom Onslow-Cole Leaves AmD Milltek Racing

1 Mins read

British Touring Car team AmD Milltek Racing.com and driver Tom Onslow-Cole have parted company amicably during the series' event at Oulton Park.

The team helped bring Onslow-Cole back to the BTCC grid after he parted company with Team Aon after the 2010 season.

“We were told of Tom's decision 15 minutes before the final race today at Oulton Park and that he would no longer be driving for us,” said team principal Shaun Hollamby.

“We have enjoyed working with Tom during his short time as part of the AmD Milltek Racing.com team and wish him all the best for his future career.”

“AmD Milltek Racing.com is staffed by a strong and talented group of people who will continue working hard to build on the progress we have made this season. As a team, we remain focused on moving the Volkswagen Golf up the BTCC grid and will evaluate replacement drivers to allow us to continue with the progress made so far through the remainder of the season.”

“We would like to thank Milltek and Tesco Momentum 99 for all of their support during our exciting campaign so far and look forward to further success on track.”

The Essex based team's plan is currently to continue in the series, which resumes in a fortnight at Croft, North Yorkshire. An announcement as to who will drive their Volkswagen Golf will be made in due course, say the team.
