The highest bidder in the auction, and their guest, will be VIP guests of Aron Smith
BTCC outfit Redstone Racing has launched a charity auction offering a pair of VIP passes to next weekend's races at Thruxton.
The winning bidder and their guest will receive the passes – donated by driver Aron Smith – and get to experience the third round of the British Touring Car Championship from inside the team's hospitality unit, with complimentary breakfast and lunch included. They will also be taken on a guided tour of the Redstone Racing garage which will include an in-depth talk about the team's turbocharged Ford Focus ST race cars.
A VIP grid walk – and the opportunity to meet Irishman Smith and his teammates Mat Jackson and Liam Griffin complete a massive day for the winners.
All proceeds from the auction will go towards the Essex-Amsterdam cycle ride set to be undertaken by Redstone Racing team manager Oly Collins and seven of his friends in July. They will be riding to raise money for St. Elizabeth's Hospice in Suffolk, which supported a close friend in the final stages of her battle with cancer.
The five-day auction is underway now, and will close at 6pm on Wednesday April 25.
