Jordan Set For Champion’s Welcome At Autosport Show

1 Mins read

Newly-crowned Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Champion, Andrew Jordan will receive a popular homecoming celebration on 11-12 January, as he will be present at Birmingham’s NEC for the 2014 Autosport International showcase.

The Pirtek Racing driver sensationally claimed an emotional maiden BTCC title at a rain-soaked finale at Brands Hatch in October, beating reigning champion Gordon Shedden to the crown by a mere seven points to grab the championship from his fellow Honda rival.

Jordan will head to his hometown when the Autosport International show heads to Birmingham NEC Arena on 11-12 of January, where motorsport fans from around the world will gather and have the opportunity to meet the new BTCC champion among a mouth-watering selection of racing machinery and famous faces that will be present.

Jordan, who also claimed his second Independent BTCC championship in succession along with his overall 2013 spoils, said: “It’s been an incredible year, sealing the championship and standing on the podium at Brands Hatch after the last race is a feeling I’ll never forget.

“Growing up and living in the area, I’ve always enjoyed going to Autosport International, but I’m particularly looking forward to attending January’s show and taking to the stage as the new British Touring Car Champion.”

Jordan will be part of a dedicated Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship feature, with a star-studded line-up to be announced in the coming weeks.

“Andrew Jordan’s rise to become its newest champion is one of the many great stories from the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship in 2013. We’re looking forward to hosting him at the show, along with the standalone BTCC display that proved so popular at this year’s show”, said Autosport International Show Director Ian France.

“Race fans across the UK were on the edge of their seats as Andrew showed great poise to win the title in the dramatic finale, and I’m sure they’ll enjoy hearing all about it at Autosport International 2014, before his title defence gets underway”, France added.

Adult tickets are now available from £31 and children’s tickets from £20 for January’s 2014 show; for more information, visit www.autosportinternational.com.
