BTCC champion Andrew Jordan has confirmed a partnership with Red Bull for the 2014 Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship season.
The new BTCC champion will carry backing from the energy drinks giant following a developing deal with the brand, Jordan the first racing driver to become part of their Red Bull Athlete scheme which supports numerous sports men and women in a variety of extreme competitions.
Jordan will wear a special crash helmet adorning the iconic blue and silver Red Bull livery, although he will continue to run the Pirtek colour scheme on his Eurotech Honda Civic during his 2014 BTCC campaign.
“It’s really exciting that Red Bull will be a part of the BTCC in 2014″, said Jordan, who will participate in various Red Bull events also. “It is a real endorsement of the strength of the BTCC and I’m very proud to be going into the 2014 season as the reigning champion.
“I’ve been working with the company for a couple of years now and have always used Red Bull to get mentally and physically prepared for races. It is great news that the partnership is stepping up a gear in 2014. I really hope this is the beginning of a long-term relationship and it is very good for me to be involved with such a strong brand.”
Jordan will also be present at this week’s Autosport International show between the dates of 9-12 January.
