Pirelli were satisfied with the performance of the soft, medium and hard compound tyres in Abu Dhabi as one and two stop strategies were both used by drivers finishing inside the top ten.

Red Bull Toro Rosso Honda had a tricky day at the 2019 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, as neither of the two drivers were able to make it out of the second session of qualifying. Both driver expressed concern, as Pierre Gasly only managed to qualify twelfth and Daniil Kvyat found himself in fourteenth.
Haas F1 Team had a tricky day as they did not emulate the pace they had during the practice session earlier in the day and in the pervious day. During the final qualifying at the 2019 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, Romain Grosjean did not make it out of the first session ending the session in sixteenth, his teammate Kevin Magnussen did but only managed to get fifteenth in the second session.
SportPesa Racing Point F1 Team, had what seems a positive day as they made it through to the second qualifying session. It saw Lance Stroll take thirteenth in qualifying and Sergio Pèrez take eleventh but will both start a place higher at the 2019 Formula 1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
