Luca Marini topped the timesheets on the first day of the Jerez Moto2 test ahead of Iker Lecuona and Sam Lowes. The riders were fortunate to have sunny, dry weather to make the test as productive as possible.
The second test for the 2019 season is officially underway in Jerez, with an Italian 1-2 at the end of day 1. Danilo Petrucci set the pace today, 0.217 seconds ahead of teammate Andrea Dovizioso.

KTM wildcard rider and 2018 Red Bull Rookies’ Cup champion Can Öncü made his world championship debut at Valencia this weekend, and has today made history by winning the Moto3 race.
