At the top of the hour the #1 Audi was being pushed by Oliver Jarvis closer to the lead #2 Audi at a rate of over a second a lap. Tension was added when in the darkness the #2 Audi, being driven by Lucas di Grassi nearly made contact with the lead GT car #62 Ferrari being driven by Olivier Berretta.

With night well-and-truly descended on the Sebring Circuit, the closing stages of the 12 hour race have begun, with most of the class leaders just a spin or a pitstop mistake away from the chasing pack.

Seven minutes in to the ninth hour of the 12 Hours of Sebring the green flag signalled the start of the racing once again after the track barriers were repaired following a heavy incident involving the Alex Job Ferrari.

Benoit Treluyer retook the lead for the #1 Audi R18 e-tron quattro team after Tom Kristensen pitted from the lead in the sister #2 car.

The hour started with the lead in P1 being held by the #2 Audi being driven by Lucas Di Grassi, this was lost to the #1 Audi driven by Treluyer after the #2 car stumbled when overtaking a GT car.

Hour five of the Sebring 12 hours began as hour three had started: under full-course caution. This time, it was due to Ed Brown having spun his ESM #02 HPD and becoming left spinning his wheels as he found himself stuck on a kerb.

After putting themselves on a different pitstop sequence by declining the opportunity to under the DeltaWing derived caution Marcel Fassler led on the restart at the start of the third hour of racing at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Benoit Treluyer led largely unchallenged through the first hour of the 2013 12 Hours of Sebring, Audi teammate Tom Kristensen ending the opening hour in second.

Marcel Fassler proved himself faster than anyone else at Sebring in qualifying, taking pole position to the 61st edition of the 12 Hours of Sebring to lead an all Audi R18 e-tron quattro front row.

Briton Sean Edwards qualified third fastest in the GTC class for NGT Motorsport at the 12 Hours of Sebring.

Andy Lally led a star-studded list of drivers in GTC class qualifying for the 12 Hours of Sebring taking pole position in the first American Le Mans Series (ALMS) race for the new Dempsey/Del Piero Racing team.

After finishing qualifying for the 61st 12 Hours of Sebring second and fifth respectively in class Corvette Racing men Oliver Gavin and Antonio Garcia have already turned their attention to the race.

DeltaWing Racing Cars continued their on-track development today as Olivier Pla took the unique car to fifteenth on the grid, just behind the LMPC top three.
